Poughkeepsie crew operates out of Bay 5 in the HRRA Community Boathouse.
Directions to the Boathouse
Main street, pass the Train Station and take a right onto Water St., continue past the Children’s Museum, Hoffman Street Bridge and the old abandoned Dutton Lumberyard, go through the main gate and follow the main road, which doubles back on itself in a hair-pin turn, the HRRA Community Boat house is at the very end of this road.

PLEASE! Be courteous to coaches and boathouse volunteers who ask you to move your car or remind you of the traffic patterns - they are concerned about the safety of everyone and the efficient movement of 500 athletes through this facility and not just being meanies!

BOATHOUSE TRAFFIC RULES
OBEY THE FOLLOWING RULES:
- The speed limit is 15 mph along the top road and around the boathouse. (metro north police or Vassar Security may ticket you!).
- Obey the stop sign outside the Metro North Building along the top road (metro north police or Vassar Security may ticket you!).
- Be cautious of people and cars entering the Metro North Building
- Be cautious of runners along the side of the road.
- Drop and pick up athletes off at the southern end of the boathouse.
- The parking lot has a traffic pattern that loops around, providing a continuous path through the lot - do not block this path.
DO NOT PARK:
- In a parking spot marked COACH (it is spray painted on the asphalt).
- In front of the Vassar boathouse buildings just to the north of our boathouse.
- DO NOT DOUBLE PARK BEHIND any parked cars - ESPECIALLY coaches spots.
- On the grassy area where the trailers are parked, along the river, on the Greenway Trail.
- On any concrete portion of the boathouse.
DO NOT:
- Park in a coaches spot or a handicapped spot and sit and read or sleep or any other things - that essentially removes that spot from the people authorized to use them!
- Pick up your athlete along the main road behind the boathouse - when you do this it impedes the traffic flow and is extremely disruptive to others.
